There are still some experts out there trying to convince people that loosing weight needs no more than couple of magic pills and a moderate portion of daily exercise. It is like stating that the fault for global warming is to put on stinky methane from cows more than on burning fossil fuels.Both of them are causing the same issue. But let us be knowledgeable enough to recognize the one that is significant.
You can see it one way or the other. The primary cause for alarming numbers of fat and even obese people is they eat too much, too often and in a compulsive way. The food we eat is stuffed with refined substances which can make us addicted and therefore should be banned from people menus decades ago. We simply eat too much of wrong food and eat too often. There is where the real problem hides. Loosing weight starts with eating less. Weight loss remedies are rarely the efficient way to make measurable effects on long run. Note that this is not the case for people diagnosed for obesity. For example, diet pills are camouflaging fat and carbohydrates in food you eat into a friend for your body. Pills do not make you eat or live healthier. They just fiddle your body in a way it blocks the garbage you take in. Can you call it a real lose weight success? Majority of people do not even realize this kind of dieting means taking pills for the rest of their lives. In order to reduce the murdering effect of their own eating habits on their body, one should consider a mix of different approaches.
The first step in dropping those pounds is to eat less. How to do that? Remember mentioning “compulsive overeating” at the start? People tend to eat too much as a result of boredom, disappointment with their lives, stress or even resignation. The first thing to do in regulating daily food portions is to get a hobby that will occupy your mind. You have to trick yourself with activities that will suck all of your attention and concentration in a way you will not have time or lust to think of food. A healthy hobby will become a stress killer as well as your best dieting friend. If you can make that hobby a walk with a friend or a pet, or any kind of physical activity, you are on the right way to enrich your live on more levels that you could think of. You just need something to steal from you the time you spend thinking of food or even walking pass the refrigerator.
Nobody wants to say that this will be the magic solution for each overweight person. But it is more than worth mentioning the importance of having enough reasons in your life to devote them at least 2 hours a day of your complete concentration. Many adults have forgotten how that should look like. It is not that hard. Just remember the days of your childhood, when mummy was calling you from that window, saying that now you really should come upstairs to have that lunch, or else…! What were you doing then, what could be so important for you at that time? What could overshadow the natural urge for food in a way that having a lunch was the last thing you would willingly do at that moment? Get it? That is the best way to start a new healthier life. People need enough quality reasons to occupy their minds. Of course that will need ones complete concentration. But if you succeed in that, further steps of dieting will be much easier and more rewarding.
Eating less on itself will give an overweight person a motivating signal - the first real success. The power of positive motivation in dieting should not be underestimated. That important next step in loosing weight, called exercise, will find its push in achievements of eating less. Building ones dieting plan on small steps of positive motivation can bring you much further on a long run than solely depending on weight loss pills.
